The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike is an amazing hunting ebike that will take you pretty much anywhere you want to go.

It was developed by QuietKat in partnership with JEEP, probably one of the most iconic off-road brands on the planet.

As you will find out throughout this QuietKat Jeep bike review, a lot of thought went into the design of this hunting electric bike.

The suspension design combined with the geometry design results in an electric hunting bike that’s just enormous fun to ride.

It’s a very stable and balanced ebike even at higher speeds across challenging terrain and around corners in large part due to the suspension and inverted front fork

There are a lot of serious mountain bike components on this ebike that I’ll mention a little bit later.

This mamboing hunting ebike is available in Charcoal or Matte Red.

The important question however is what does the Jeep by QuietKat bring to the hunting table that can give you an edge and a great hunting experience?

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Climbing Hills

Let’s start with, what’s undoubtedly one of the most important factors for many hunters. The hill climbing capabilities of the QuietKat Jeep.

ElectricBikeReport tested the QuietKat Jeep 1000 W electric hunting bike on a hill that’s a 1/3 of a mile long with a 12-degree gradient on average:

Riding with throttle only they climbed that hill in 1 min 8 sec with an average speed of 16 mph.

Riding with Pedal Assist Level 5 in Sport mode they climbed that same hill in 55 seconds with an average speed of 19.7 mph

According to them, the QuietKat Jeep hunting ebike is not just an astoundingly capable hill climber but also one of the fastest if not the fastest hill climbers they’ve tested so far.

devours the most challenging climbs handily

Cruise the downhills or churn and burn up the gnarliest inclines

the wide-range 9-speed drivetrain features an 11-42T cassette for maximum torque range to climb the steepest hills

QuietKat Jeep eBike Review Of The Motor

QuietKat Jeep eBike Review Of Motor

That’s not surprising considering the Jeep by QuietKat is equipped with the Bafang Ultra-Drive motor that comes either as a 750 Watt or a 1000 Watt version.

QuietKat calls it an “advanced, torque-sensor motor system”.

It’s an ultra mid-drive motor that can be used either in “Throttle-Only”, “Eco”, “Sport” or “Walk-Assist” mode.

With a peak power output of 1500 W and an astonishing 160 Nm of torque, this beast can climb hills, period.

The Jeep hunting ebike is also ridiculously fast and super fun to ride with a top speed that’s probably only limited by its gearing.

When preparing this QuietKat Jeep bike review I discovered how easily it rips on jeep roads, double track 4×4 roads, and any other terrain you throw at it.

With its superb power-to-weight ratio the Jeep hunting electric bike falls kind of like between more traditional electric bicycles and electric motorcycles.

It’s just an awesome hunting machine that can give you a tremendous edge on your next hunting trip.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Brakes

QuietKat Jeep eBike Review Of Brakes

Of course, with great power also comes great responsibility.

That means you also need very powerful brakes to match and if necessary control such a powerful motor.

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike does not disappoint.

It comes fully equipped with Tektro 730 Dorado 4-Piston Hydraulic Disc Brakes.

These extremely powerful brakes are paired with 203 mm disc rotors at the front and the rear for maximum control and heat dissipation.

You’d usually see these types of rotors on racing downhill mountain bikes that require a tremendous amount of stopping power just like the Jeep does.

ElectricBikeReport tested the brakes on the QuietKat Jeep and found an average braking distance of 14 feet and 4 inches which according to them is shorter than the current average braking distance of all the electric bikes they’ve tested so far which is 15 feet and 10 or 11 inches.

They describe it as a good result for this relatively heavier and powerful fat tire electric hunting bike

Bearing in mind that the QuietKat Jeep is intended first and foremost for off-road riding it’s not fair to test its brakes on asphalt but ElectricBikeReport did it anyway.

They found that the tires in hard-breaking conditions on asphalt didn’t have as much stopping traction as they’d hoped for.

The tires skidded quite a bit. That’s not surprising since they’re designed for off-roading, right?

Earlier in this QuietKat Jeep bike review we already looked at the amazing hill climbing capabilities of the QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike so it’s no surprise to learn that this amazing hunting eBike also excels at any off-road challenge you throw at it.

Imagine you can just get out of your truck at the trailhead and then start exploring the area with this full-suspension, fat-tire hunting e-bike.

It’s designed and built to keep you in complete control of even the most technical trails.

With the powerful motor combined with its confidence-boosting stopping power, you can tackle steep stuff, slick rock, pitches steep or loose, and big rock gardens alike.

The Jeep electric hunting bike by QuietKat Conquer can handle any technical off-road terrain while being great fun to ride.

Soft sand and snow or hard-packed trails and rock, the QuietKat Jeep lets you access even the most distant trails, hunting grounds, or camping areas without working up much of a sweat.

Due to the great suspension, tires, gearing system, geometry, and power this hunting beast is your best friend when riding in the backcountry, the forest, on the road, or in the canyon.

No matter what the weather conditions are, the Jeep hunting ebike by QuietKat is very grunt and capable.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Tires

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike features extra wide (some might even say oversized) all-terrain CST Roly Poly 26’’ x 4.8’’ fat tires.

These amazing tires have a super aggressive tread which is perfect for any type of off-roading.

They are capable of maintaining traction in steep terrain, sandy ground, snowy areas, and shallow mud.

The tires can be deflated down to as low as 8 lbs for added traction if necessary in any of these conditions.

QuietKat Jeep eBike Review Of The Suspension

QuietKat Jeep Fat Tire Hunting eBike Review Of Suspension

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike is one of only a very few select premium hunting ebikes that have full suspension, i.e. suspension at both the front and the rear wheel.

The Jeep is equipped with a full-suspension frame and an inverted suspension fork. (Read my article Best Electric Hunting Bike if you prefer front suspension only.)

It features a QK Custom Inverted Air Shock Suspension fork in the front and a RockShox Monarch RL suspension in the rear, both with 150 mm of travel.

The Fire-Link suspension system is a true four-bar linkage, providing the ultimate traction, comfort, and capability.

The inverted front fork of the QuietKat Jeep resembles a dirt bike fork.

It’s a fairly legit suspension reminiscent of competitive mountain biking.

When researching this QuietKat Jeep bike review I found that opting for an inverted front fork was a great decision made by QuietKat.

Especially the extra wide tires produce a lot of rotational mass when braking and cornering so a more rigid or stable front fork was needed and found with the inverted one.

It provides for a much sturdier ride and dramatically increases the hand ability of this hunting behemoth.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Gearing

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike is equipped with the SRAM X5 9-Speed drivetrain which I would describe as a lower to middle-tier drivetrain from SRAM.

It’s more of a mountain bike drivetrain that can handle a lot of the force and loads.

It especially gives you good crisp shifting on more technical terrain which is exactly what you want in a high-performance hunting ebike.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Cockpit

The QuietKat Jeep has a Thumb Throttle that can be removed if you want the 750 W model to operate as a Class 1 ebike, for example.

The display is a customizable LED display that matches the overall premium experience for the Jeep by QuietKat.

The handlebar is nice and wide and reminds me more of a mountain bike.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Carrying Your Load

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike has a load capacity of 300 lbs which is enough for most hunting purposes especially considering that you can always add one of QuietKat’s trailers if you’re hunting big game, for example.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Range Performance

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Battery

Image: ©QuietKat

According to QuietKat, the Jeep hunting ebike gives you an estimated range of 22 – 44 miles on a single battery charge. (up to 58 miles)

ElectricBikeReport has tested this claim in their regular range test with the following results:

In Sport mode and Pedal Assist Level (PAS) 5 they were able to cover a distance of 9.95 miles which they covered in just over 30 mins of ride time before the battery was empty.

When riding in Sport mode and Pedal Assist Level (PAS) 1 the distance traveled increased to 33.61 miles with a couple of hours (approx 2.5 hours) of riding time until the battery was empty.

While these are not bad times they highlight the fact that more power also comes with more energy consumption.

As a result, one of the recommendations of my QuietKat Jeep bike review is that you might want to bring a second battery along especially if you’re accessing difficult areas in the backcountry or planning for an overnight hunting trip.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Of The Battery

The QuietKat Jeep hunting electric bike is equipped with a 48 V 14.5 Ah battery consisting of premium Panasonic lithium cells that provide a total of 696 Wh.

Based on my usual assumption of 1 mile eating up 20 Wh, this battery gives you a theoretical range of 34.8 miles on a single charge without any pedaling.

That’s pretty good but I would have preferred a bigger battery, especially for the 1000 W motor.

As you can see from the above test results when riding in Sport mode and higher Pedal Assist Level (PAS) you burn through the battery quite quickly which almost makes the fun too short-lived.

So, as a result of my in-depth QuietKat Jeep bike review, I believe the ratio between motor performance and battery capabilities could probably be improved further.

Of course, this can be easily remedied by bringing along a second battery so it’s not that big of a deal after all.

On a standard charger or a solar charger, it takes approximately 6-8 hours to fully recharge the battery. With the Pathfinder Rapid Charger, you can reduce the charge time to 3-6 hours.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review Top Speed

As I mentioned earlier in this QuietKat Jeep bike review, the QuietKat Jeep hunting electric bike comes either with a 750 W motor that is limited to a top speed of 20 mph to fall within the 3 Class electric bike classification system or with a 1000 W motor that has no speed limitations.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: Ease Of Transportation

QuietKat Jeep E Bike Review

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike comes in 3 different frame sizes from 15.5’’ to 19’’ which is in line with other hunting ebikes.

Despite its very powerful motor, the Jeep hunting ebike by QuietKat only weighs in at 70 lbs which is comparable to many other regular ebikes.

This great power-to-weight ratio is one of the pillars of the Jeep’s outstanding performance.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: Measurements

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: Available Sizes

The QuietKat Jeep electric hunting bike comes in a SMALL, MEDIUM, or LARGE size to accommodate hunters with different heights.

The Small frame size measure 15.5’’, the Medium frame size measures 17’’ and the Large frame size measure 19’’.

QuietKat recommends the Small frame for hunters under 5’6”, the Medium size for hunters between 5’6″ – 6′ and the Large frame for hunters 6’+ tall.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: Financial And Legal Aspects

QuietKat Jeep Review Of eBike Laws

Image: ©QuietKat

Financial and legal aspects are important considerations when choosing your next electric hunting bike I have dedicated a special section for them in my QuietKat Jeep bike review.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: Does It Comply With eBike Laws?

One of the things I like about the QuietKat Jeep is that you can have it as a street-legal ebike or as an unrestricted hunting beast.

If you opt for the 750 W version you have an electric hunting bike that’s not just very capable and fun to ride but also complies with all Class 2 regulations for electric bikes under US Federal Law.

That means it has a throttle and a top speed of not more than 20 mph.

You can remove the throttle to have a hunting ebike that fulfills the requirements of a Class 1 ebike because it has a top speed of not more than 20 mph and the motor only provides support when the rider is pedaling.

I love the versatility this offers.

Of course, you can also opt for the 1000 W version but you should keep in mind that this is not a street-legal ebike.

It’s designed specifically to be used on OHV areas and private land or anywhere else where you can legally use a non-street legal dirt bike.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: What Warranty Can You Expect

QuietKat offers the Jeep electric hunting bike with a lifetime frame warranty and a 1-year warranty for all other bike components for extra peace of mind.

QuietKat Jeep Bike Review: What Money Back Guarantee Do You Get

You can even test ride the QuietKat Jeep for 30 days and up to 10 miles and return it to get your money back in the unlikely event that you decide the Jeep is not for you.

QuietKat even pays for the shipping both ways.

So, you can try it without any financial risk.

I think that’s a really good offer.
